Day is one day off for all day events

It seems like an all day event using the start time of midnight, adds the event to the day before not the actually day of my event.  If I am not using the "All Day Event" it fixes the issue.  Something is odd about that setting and your web part.

Oh can you also make it work across multiple days for week long events?

Was this issue resolved in the release?

No, not yet ;)

It seems to be some server side setting.  My test server works fine but my production server pushes the date back on your web part.  Can you reproduce this issue?  I would really like this fixed ASAP.

Just a hint, you have the same time zone offset on both servers?
Feb 18, 2009 at 6:52 PM
Ok on my test server, I did not have a time zone specified but as soon as I set it to PST it moved the event to the previous day on your webpart.  On the Calendar the event is on the 18th but on your webpart it is on the 17th.  If I remove the All Day event check box, then your web part displays it correctly.

Did you ever address this issue?  I am still very frustrated by the fact that events show up on the wong days :(

It has been a while now, no response for a huge problem that is still unresolved.  Can you make this fix anytime soon?

Hi Hikmer,

I didn't have much time to look at that issue. By the way, did you tried the last version?

May 28, 2009 at 10:09 PM

Yes I tried your latest version but I still had the issue.  I thnk you just need to add the server time offset somewhere in your code, but I don't have time to go through it and figure ouot where to add it.

Indeed, maybe you have a good ideea by adding a time offset. Probably on the next release I will add this option as property to the webpart.

Great webpart, having the same issue with "all day events."

Did you ever fix this? I have been waiting a long long long time.....

Aug 12, 2009 at 4:06 PM

Sorry to say but after testing the issue, it is now even worse than before.  Instead of an all day event being on the wong day, it i spread out over two days.  Don't mean to be a jerk but this is a major oversight when you have a web part that has to do with dates and times.

Any word on the fix to all day events for other time zones?  It's been six months now...it would be nice if this worked and I didn't have to tell all my users that they can't schedule all day events becasue of a bug in your web part.

Try this test release:

No same issue, still covers two days with the reoccuring event.  You should be able to reproduce this in your testing.  just change the site collection's default time zone
